What Is PDLC Film Glass?
PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) film glass is a type of smart glass technology that can switch between clear and opaque states. PDLC film consists of a layer of liquid crystal molecules dispersed in a polymer matrix sandwiched between two layers of glass or plastic. When an electrical voltage is applied to the film, the liquid crystal molecules align, allowing light to pass through and making the film transparent. When the voltage is turned off, the liquid crystal molecules disperse randomly, causing the film to become opaque and blocking light transmission.
Why is PDLC Film considered to be ‘smart’?
The ability of PDLC to randomly refract light (i.e., scatter light) or to transmit light, depending on whether an electrical stimulation is provided to it, is what gives it its intelligence. Usually, an alternating voltage is used to achieve this, creating an alternating electric field over the PDLC material.
Although the PDLC can be activated by a push button switch, a light sensor, or a building automation system, it is only as intelligent as the control system that triggers the change.

Q: Should glass be tempered and what's the difference between Chemical tempered and Physical tempered?
To small size/thickness less than 3.2mm,we recommend chemical tempered.(surface toughen by 6-7H).
To bigger size/thickness above 3.2mm, we recommend physical tempered.
Base on thermal tempered, the fragmentation test standard / partical sizes & quantity could be set base on different thickness.
The glass flatness could be asked after tempering.
Q: What kind of glass will be used?
LightingWe usually use clear / ultra clear float glass for production, depends on customer's need.
Cover glassWe usually use AGC(Dragontail) for production, but also available in gorilla/NEG etc. base on customer's need
Furniture glass We usually use high quality flat/bending glass
Q. Do you accept small order?
Any order quantity is welcome. But some type of products are high cost that not suitable for small order.
