What Influences the Performance of Anti-Fingerprint Coating?
Surface Modifications and Coatings
While Easy-Clean (EC) coatings are often used used on lighter colored substrates, Anti-Fingerprint (AFP) coatings, which are typically used on darker substrates, focus on disguising the initial fingerprint by modulating surface energy.
Texture: Gloss or matte finish
The kind of AFP coating needed to optimal performance might be influenced by the surface roughness.
Increased roughness results in a matte texture with diffuse reflection that conceals the fingerprint.
Color: Surface light absorption
Lighter-colored substrates reflect more light and are less susceptible to fingerprint-induced light absorption.
Product Feature
Based on the idea of a lotus leaf, AF coating coats the glass' surface with a thin layer of nano-chemical substances to give it powerful hydrophobic, anti-oil, and anti-fingerprint capabilities. The surface is more comfy and smoother. Therefore it’s much easier to wipe off dirt, fingerprints, oil stains, etc on the glass surface.
Application
Usually used on the glass surface which have touch function, and some devices require surface’s cleanliness.
Should glass be tempered and what's the difference between Chemical tempered and Physical tempered?
-To small size/thickness less than 3.2mm,we recommend chemical tempered.(surface toughen by 6-7H).
-To bigger size/thickness above 3.2mm, we recommend physical tempered.
-Base on thermal tempered, the fragmentation test standard / partical sizes & quantity could be set base on different thickness.
-The glass flatness could be asked after tempering.
